This enables a much better understanding of the customer journey in their bricks and mortar stores.
About The Role
As we grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solutions Engineer / Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and project management skills to drive the successful delivery of complex projects. If you are passionate about technology, have a strong background in engineering, and excel at managing projects, we want to hear from you.
You must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Solutions Engineer or Technical Project Manager and a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects related to retail technology, POS implementation, payment kiosks etc.
It’s essential that you’re used to working at pace in a growing startup or scaleup environment, you’re technical and commercial, used to working with multiple internal and external stakeholders and have fluent English verbal and written skills. You’ll be used to prioritising multiple tasks and delivering projects
on time whilst also problem solving quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. POS Implementation Project Management:
- Oversee and manage multiple retail tech implementation projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines, and track project progress.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring proactive resolution.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure all project documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant team members.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Minimum 50% travel is expected, and you will be required to work from the client's office.
2. Technical Expertise:
- Utilize your engineering background to understand complex technical projects and provide insights into project feasibility, resources, and timelines.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
3. Communication:
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills to effectively convey project status, challenges, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and workshops to facilitate project discussions and ensure alignment.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role as a Solutions Engineer or Technical Project Manager.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Technical aptitude to understand project complexities and provide relevant insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Arabic speaking is required.
